Leonard Franklin Slye was born November 5, 1911 in Cincinnati, and left for California in 1930. He formed a group in 1934 with Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer called "Sons of the Pioneers," during which he tried Dick Weston as a stage name before settling on Roy Rogers. In 1937, Rogers went solo and began starring in films a year later. He got his famous horse Trigger in 1938 and rode him in every one of his films and TV shows from the on.

This set features Roy Rogers, the King of the Cowboys, in four of his classic films.
